This 2 bite brownies recipe is better than any 2 bite brownies at Costco or Walmart! They're simple to make, perfectly portioned, and incredibly fudgy - one of my favorite mini cupcake pan recipes! You'll make these brownie bites again and again!

    2 Bite Brownies Recipe

Making 2-bite brownies at home is a game-changer! Not only do you get that fresh-out-of-the-oven goodness, but you also control the ingredients. No preservatives or weird stuff—just pure chocolatey bliss.

Plus, it’s super fun and satisfying to bake your own treats. You can customize them with your favorite toppings or fillings, making each batch uniquely yours. So why settle for store-bought when you can whip up a delicious batch in no time and enjoy that homemade magic?

A hand holding a single 2 bite brownie with a bite taken out, showing the moist interior.

Why are two bite brownies so good?

Two-bite brownies are incredible because they pack all the rich, chocolatey goodness of a full-sized brownie into a perfect, bite-sized treat. Each bite is a burst of intense flavor and gooey texture, satisfying your sweet tooth without overindulging.

Another top-down view of a pile of 2 bite brownies sprinkled with sea salt and chocolate chips on a cooling rack.

They're easy to eat, mess-free, and ideal for sharing. Plus, their small size makes them the perfect treat for portion control compared to traditional brownies, letting you enjoy a sweet treat in just a single serving of food. Whether for a quick snack or a party platter, two bite brownies hit the sweet spot every time!

    Ingredients

To make irresistible two-bite brownies, you'll need a few simple ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry. Scroll down to the recipe card below to see the full ingredient details and measurements, but here's a shot of what you'll need:

Various ingredients for making 2 bite brownies arranged on a white countertop, including flour, sugar, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, eggs, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt.
    • butter - your salted butter should be melted -- let it cool just a bit before starting. If you prefer to use unsalted butter, be sure to add in ¼ teaspoon of salt with your dry ingredients.
    • eggs - you'll want your eggs to be at room temperature too. If they feel cold to the touch, submerge them in a bowl of lukewarm water for 15 minutes.
    • vanilla - for the best natural vanilla flavor, I like to use pure vanilla extract. Or you can make your own!
    • white sugar - we'll use granulated sugar to give these 2 bite brownies the perfect sweetness!
    • brown sugar - we're also using light brown sugar for these brownie bites to give them a richer flavor and moister texture! If you only have dark brown sugar, that's fine too.
    • unsweetened cocoa powder -  this is the key for a fudgy chocolate 2 bite brownie recipe! It adds a delicious natural chocolate flavor and fudgy texture -- I love it in my Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Mousse!
    • all-purpose flour - be sure to measure your flour by weight with a kitchen scale or with the spoon-and-level method.
    • espresso powder - totally optional, but I love to add a little espresso powder to my brownies to deepen the chocolate flavor and fudgy taste.
    • mini chocolate chips - throwing in some mini semi-sweet chocolate chips adds little bursts of melted chocolate throughout these brownie bites! And chocolate chip lovers will want to try my Chocolate Chip and Marshmallow Cookies!
    • flaky sea salt - this is optional, but I like to sprinkle a little flaky sea salt on top of my 2 bite brownies to give them that amazing sweet and salty flavor!

See recipe card below for quantities.

A baking tray filled with raw 2 bite brownie batter ready to be baked in mini muffin molds.

    Equipment

You'll need a 24-cup mini muffin pan to make these brownie bites. I like this Wilton mini muffin tin. To mix this 2 bite brownies recipe, I use a large mixing bowl, a balloon whisk, and a rubber spatula. I use a small cookie scoop to scoop the brownies into the pan, and I also always recommend measuring flour and cocoa powder with a kitchen scale to ensure accuracy, but no need for an electric mixer for this recipe.

And if you're looking for another fantastic recipe for your mini muffin pan, try my Chocolate Chip Mini Muffins with Orange Zest! They're the perfect snack! And gluten free folks will love my Gluten Free Olive Oil Cake!

    How to Make Individual Brownies

The recipe card below will give you detailed step-by-step instructions for making this brownie bites recipe, as well as full ingredient measurements and a recipe video! But here's a quick look at how you'll make this recipe!

Pouring melted butter into a glass bowl containing brown sugar and molasses.

In a large bowl, mix together wet ingredients one at a time, whisking well after each addition.

Sifting cocoa powder and flour through a metal sieve into a glass mixing bowl.

Sift in dry ingredients and fold until well combined.

Mixing chocolate chips into a bowl of chocolate batter with a red spatula.

    Fold in mini chocolate chips.

Scooping chocolate brownie batter into a muffin tray using an ice cream scoop.

Scoop batter into greased mini muffin pan.

Hint: Be sure to whisk the batter very well once you add your eggs to get those crackly tops! Your batter should be lightened and fluffy.

How to Get Brownies Bites Out of Pan

To make sure your brownies release from your pan, first spray the muffin pan well with a baking spray. Then, when your brownie bites are done, let them cool at least 10-15 minutes.

To help them release from the muffin cups, run a butter knife around the edges of each muffin cup and gently lift the brownie bite out using the knife for support.

Yet another top-down view of 2 bite brownies on a wire rack, emphasizing the sprinkled sea salt and chocolate chips.

How Long to Cook Brownies in Muffin Pan

You'll notice that this recipe has a much shorter baking time than my other brownie recipes like my Triple Chocolate Brownies or your favorite peanut butter brownies recipe -- because of the smaller baking cups, they cook much more quickly, in just about 12 minutes!

    Storage

You can store these 2 bite brownies at room temperature in an airtight container for up to four days. To freeze them, you'll want to let your brownie bites cool completely. After that, wrap each one in plastic wrap and place in the freezer to freeze solid. Then once they're frozen, place them in a freezer bag for up to two months.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Why did my brownie bites sink in the middle?

Brownie bites can sink in the middle if they’re underbaked, so make sure they’re fully cooked. Overmixing the batter can add too much air, making them rise and then fall. Also, baking at the wrong temperature can cause uneven baking, with the edges setting faster than the center.

Can I adjust this recipe to fit my daily diet?

Absolutely -- this 2 bite brownies recipe can be adjusted to fit special diets! You can use chia eggs instead of regular eggs and use vegan butter instead of dairy butter, or swap in a 1-to-1 gluten free flour blend! Be sure to check with your health care professional for healthcare information, general nutrition advice and any health-related decisions. Nutrition Disclaimer

How many calories is one two bite brownie?

Each of these 2 bite brownies is 137 calories - you can check the recipe card below for more nutritional information!

A close-up shot of a pile of 2 bite brownies, topped with sea salt flakes, stacked on a wire rack.

What company makes two bite brownies?

Two-bite brownies are made by Give and Go Prepared Foods Corp., a Canadian company known for bite-sized baked goods. Their two bite brownies have become quite popular and are available in many grocery stores and online.

But for the best experience, you can make your own rich double chocolate brownie bites at home with this recipe, without any artificial flavor or complicated ingredients like soybean lecithin or modified palm oil! Making them at home you can also avoid any allergen content like soybean oil or tree nuts!

    Top Tip

Don't forget to measure your flour by weight with a kitchen scale! It'll help ensure accurate measurements and ensure fudgy brownies!
