Melt candy melts with oil in a double boiler or in the microwave in 30-second increments. Whisk until smooth and divide into prep bowls.
16 oz candy melts, 1 tablespoon coconut oil
Add food coloring (if using) and stir to mix evenly.

Hold each strawberry by its leaves or use a fork or dowel to pick it up. Dip evenly in the chocolate color of your choice and turn to coat. Allow excess to drip off for 10-20 seconds, then place onto parchment paper to set.

Decorate as you like with decorations -- if using candy eyes or other edible add-ons, add those before the chocolate sets fully.

Vampire: Dip your strawberry in pale purple white chocolate and add candy eyes. Use a food coloring marker or writing icing to add a mouth with fangs.
Jack-o'-Lantern: Dip your strawberry into orange candy melts and set on parchment paper to set. Add lines of additional orange candy to create a pumpkin texture, and use black icing to create the jack-o'-lantern face!
