1shot(44ml)freshly brewed espresso - 40 ml/1.4 oz; see note for substitution
½oz(15ml)coffee liqueur - Like Mr. Black or Kahlua
½oz(15ml)Licor 43 - you can substitute vanilla syrup if you can't find Licor 43
1cup(237g)ice
Espresso beans and sprinkle of cinnamon - for garnish (optional)

Instructions
Add rum, espresso, coffee liqueur and Licor 43 to a cocktail shaker.
1 oz dark rum, 1 shot freshly brewed espresso, ½ oz coffee liqueur, ½ oz Licor 43
Add ice, cover and shake vigorously for 15-30 seconds.
1 cup ice
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass, shaking gently to get all the foam out.
Garnish with a dusting of cinnamon and three whole coffee beans, if desired, and serve.

If you don't have freshly brewed espresso: It's true that for best results and the best rum espresso martini recipe, you'll want to use freshly brewed espresso made with a Nespresso or an espresso machine if possible.But if you don't have either, you can prepare 1.5 fluid ounces of Nescafe Instant Espresso -- just use 2 teaspoons of the instant espresso with 3 tablespoons of warm water and stir to dissolve.
