What can I do with my over ripe peaches?

Turn them into sorbet! In this peach sorbet recipe, ripe peaches are frozen and then blended with lemon juice and sweetened with maple syrup or honey. Then, we're adding the warmth of cinnamon and vanilla to give this sorbet recipe a hint of those indulgent desserts you love!

The vanilla and cinnamon make this peach sorbet absolutely amazing! The flavors work so well together to create a sweet, satisfying treat. And if you love cinnamon and peach together, you've gotta try my Cinnamon Rolls Peach Cobbler!

How do you make peach sorbet without an ice cream maker?

This cinnamon peach sorbet recipe is so easy! It's a no-churn recipe, so you won't need an ice cream maker. You'll only need a blender to purée the ingredients together and a freezer-safe container to let your sorbet freeze until it's ready! Plus, you'll only need 5 ingredients in total to make this recipe!

    a spoonful of peach sorbet
    White Peach Sorbet

Peach Sorbet Recipe with Frozen Peaches

I'm serious -- there are only 5 ingredients in this no-churn peach sorbet recipe!

    • frozen peaches - you can peel and slice ripe peaches and freeze them until they're solid, but the easiest option is just to pick up a one-pound bag of frozen peaches! This recipe calls for a pound of frozen peaches, so you'll literally be able to dump your peaches straight into the blender! And for more fruity goodness, check out my Blueberry Cake Filling!
    • maple syrup, honey, or agave syrup - you can use whatever sweetener you prefer! I used honey (not vegan), but this sorbet is delicious with maple syrup too! You're better off using a sweetener that does have a sugar content like honey, agave nectar, maple syrup, or coconut sugar. If you use a non-caloric sweetener it might affect the texture of the sorbet.
    • lemon juice - this adds a bit of brightness and brings out the tartness of the peaches. It adds so much flavor!
    • cinnamon - adds a little spice that works so well with the taste of the peaches.
    • pure vanilla extract - gives the sorbet a little warmth and makes it taste truly indulgent!

    Equipment

You don't need any special equipment for this peach sorbet recipe! And especially NO ice cream maker! I used a Nutribullet blender to whip up the sorbet, but you can use any brand of ice-crushing blender or food processor that you have.

    Tips and F.A.Q.

How do you make a sorbet not icy?

The key to getting a soft result in this sorbet recipe is to use a sweetener with a high enough sugar content. Also, be sure not to add any water to your peaches before blending them.

Is there a difference between sherbet and sorbet?

Unlike sherbet, sorbet contains no dairy, so it's a little less creamy than sherbet. This sorbet is also made with whole fruit, unlike fruit juice like many sherbets.

    peach sorbet in a bowl

What kind of peaches should I use for this sorbet recipe?

You can use your favorite fresh peaches, or frozen peach chunks.

    How is a sorbet made?

Traditionally, sorbet is made with fruit or fruit juice that is sweetened and churned with water to achieve a smooth consistency. Because we're not using an ice cream maker, this sorbet is actually easier to make!

And another recipe with a no-churn method is my No-Churn Strawberry Ice Cream!

    What makes sorbet so creamy?

Using a fruit that is high in fiber, like peaches, helps to add a thicker, creamy texture to our sorbet.

    Notes

Peaches: You can use fresh peaches for this sorbet as well -- just peel and slice them and freeze solid before adding to recipe.
Sweetener: Feel free to use whatever sweetener you prefer but it should have some sugar content -- sugar is what gives this peach sorbet recipe its soft texture. I often use honey, but keep in mind that honey is not a vegan option -- other ideas are agave, coconut sugar, or granulated sugar.

Love love love this Peach sorbet!! Also love that you went the natural sweetner route, which basically makes this healthy! I even turned this into a boozy version by scooping it into a cup and topping it with sparkling wine!

This peach sorbet is amazing on its own, but when I added that cinnamon to it, it sent me to a whole other place. This is a must for summertime dessert tables.
